Doctor Appointment

Alexander had his five year check up today.

Eric took him to his appointment, where they had bit of an adventure...

Nurse calls out "Alex" so Eric and Alexander walk back for the appointment. The nurse says "looks like five shots today" and proceeds to give five shots to our sweet boy. Our trooper took it like a man and replied with "Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Owwww."

Pathetic face kept saying "this is ridicleious".

She then brought Eric the immunization record form (needed for kindergarten registration).

Eric glances down and...THE NAME ON THE FORM IS NOT HIS SON'S NAME!
Our son just received someone else's shots.

I would like to pause the story to point out that the nurse should be happy my level headed husband took him today. If I had taken him, I'm about 99% sure I would be sitting in jail tonight.

Anyhow, to make a long story short, four of the five shots he received today were scheduled so he was safe and we aren't suing their office. He had to get a sixth shot though, because they left off the chicken pox shot. Eric says they apologized a dozen time, gave Alexander ten stickers, and Eric is convinced this will never happen again. I'm less certain.

Despite his sore arms (four shots in one, two shots in the other) and fascination with band-aids, Alexander is feeling just fine tonight.

David's response to that would be "whaa!".
