Garage Sale or Ebay?

In our basement, there is a pile. If you recall, last summer we deep cleaned the basement to create a guest room. Over the past year, this pile has started to creep into the middle of the room, making our guest room uninhabitable (I am starting to suspect that this pile is the very reason people do not want to stay with us).
It is out of control.

In our loft, there is a pile. Over time, this pile has started to creep out from the walls, making movement/storage in the loft difficult. I admit that some things must stay; such as the Christmas decorations, camping gear and my camp "stuff". Oh, and I should probably keep the family china (nothing has been broken, Mom). However, this pile is also out of control and must be cleaned out before the remodel.

What is making these piles grow???
Hint: what could we have accumulated in the past two years since we moved into this house? If you answered baby crap gear, baby toys, or baby clothing, you would be correct!
Admittedly, I cannot bear to part with some of the baby clothing, baby blankets, or the high chair and bassinet. I do not know why I have this irrational need to keep these particular items. But keep them I will...for now. But the rest must go!!

So, the question, faithful readers, is a simple one:
Garage Sale or Ebay?

Party, Party!

This past weekend, we had a family dinner at Ho-Ho Papa's to celebrate Father's Day. Grandma was away for the weekend so Mommy and Auntie Kimmie had to do the cooking. Fortunately, Uncle RJ realized that we wanted to actually eat dinner so he stepped in to do the honors. Mommy promised to post pictures so we could show Grandma. We missed her but had a great evening!

The Big Show

Yesterday was the last day of Little Gym. Mommy was only able to attend three times throughout the session so she was amazed with how far Alexander had advanced with his skills. We are so proud of our little man!!
I just want to play. Why won't they let me in?
For what it is worth, I don't really need Mommy's hand.
It makes her feel better to hold mine.

This move is known as the Bear Claw.
I mastered it last week.

A video of the Bear Crawl sideways!
Watch my funny friend Cole pop his head up and grin at me.
(doesn't Mommy sound like a duck?)

Summertime fun!

Mommy is officially on summer break! We are looking forward to nine weeks at home as a family and each of us are fully commited to taking a nap every single day. The past school year was the most difficult and stressful one I have ever experienced so I am very ready for the break. And I think the boys are ready for me to be home too. Transitioning to summer doesn't just happen overnight, though. My cousin (a middle school English teacher) and I often explain it like this: Picture yourself aboard a high speed freight train which has been in motion non-stop for nine months. In a matter of minutes, the train slams to a stop and you fly off and come to a complete halt. You aren't really sure where you have landed and you aren't really sure how to continue without going full speed. Within a matter of days, you are moving again, at a much slower speed and before too long, you've forgotten just how fast you were going before you landed. But it does take some time (we estimate about a week) to brush that dirt off and figure out how to slow your life down. And it is at THAT point, summer vacation officially begins. By the way, she'll be slowing her life down in Hawaii this summer...think there is room her bag for us??

The good news is blogging should be back up to speed. With daily walks, working out, naps and yard work (and did I mention we are hoping to start building the addition this summer), this summer looks to be a full one.
