Thomas the Train!

Several months ago, our good friends Mindee and Jason asked if we wanted to join them for a train ride this summer. And not just any train ride. THOMAS THE TRAIN! Their two year old, Kieran, loves trains as much as Alexander. Since you can only buy tickets if you are a member (which they happen to be), I immediately said YES! We bought two additional ones so Ho-Ho Papa and Umma could join us. Umma ended up staying home but Ho-Ho Papa was a trooper to join the adventure.

The big day arrived last week. Naturally, I forgot my camera. Naturally, Ho-Ho Papa remembered his camera.
Naturally (as before) I stole their camera.

Waiting for our friends and the train to arrive.

"There's Thomas! There's Thomas!"

Someone was very excited to see Thomas!

Let's go! Let's go!

The train depot had many booths set up for the kiddos.
Alexander and Kieran immediately headed for model trains.

From there, Alexander and Daddy visited a real live train cab.
What is it about boys and gadgets?

Next up? More model trains, run by butane.

Alexander would have stayed at this booth all day but the man in the picture who was setting up the trains, was also eating peanuts and spitting the shells everywhere. So, we did what every parent of a highly-allergic-to-peanuts-parent does and got the heck out of Dodge, by calmly distracting him by telling him it was time to line up for the train ride.

And the timing was just about perfect. We had time to snap one picture before boarding the train.

Once we found our seats, we took a few more family photos.

Alexander was not having any more pictures.
So we turned the camera on ourselves.

Once the train was moving, someone was back to his cheery self.
Throughout the entire ride, Alexander and Ho-Ho Papa chatted.
And chatted.

And chatted.

The train took us out to Snoqualmie Falls. Alexander didn't want to miss a thing.

In the end, the boys stood in line for a final picture with Thomas.

And a turn in the bouncy house.

We're so glad Ho-Ho Papa could join us for the day.
And a special shout out to Mindee, Jay and Kieran for making the day possible!

Sleepover and A Dance Party

Friday night, Auntie Kimi, Uncle RJ and Lorelli were planning to come over and help Mommy finish prepping the house for the family reunion on Saturday. I knew all about their visit and couldn't wait for them to play with me!

What Mommy DIDN'T tell me or Daddy was a surprise visitor was on her way...

When I woke up from my nap, Mommy and Jo-Jo were chatting on the couch and I didn't know what to do with all my excitement.

After opening a bottle of wine, pouring a sippy of milk, and cleaning a bit, we headed to dinner where Auntie Kimi, Uncle RJ and Lorelli were meeting us. Mommy forgot to take pictures but Lorelli and I played pretty well together in the restaurant...considering dinner took 2 hours!

After dinner, we headed back to the house for the rest of the cleaning. And celebrated the end of the night with a dance party!

Ho-Ho Papa's Birthday Recap

Last weekend, we celebrated the Big Guy's birthday.

I forgot my camera but Mom used her camera to document the day.
So I did what every good blogger does. I stole her camera.

Here are the results...including my limited Photoshop skills.

Happy Birthday, Ho-Ho Papa!
We love you!
