Sign a Song!

Alexander was a mobile kid; not a verbal one.  I think he was 2 1/2 years old before we heard him string a sentence together.  We started signing at nine months and the kid took to it like no one's business.  My personal favorite was him hitting the inner part of his elbow.  I knew he wanted chips.  Others thought he wanted heroin.

Whatev.

Imagine our delight to find out what his preschool taught Alexander this spring!  I don't know if he will ever remember doing this so I figured I better get it on video...

High Five Friday

I asked our little five year old what he would high five this week...

1.  Spending summer with my mommy.

2.  Making a scrapbook with my mommy on rainy days. (Mommy's creative side is freaking out a bit).

3.  Reading Bob books from the library.

4.  Watching Starblazers on Netflix.

5.  Ho-Ho Papa's new kidney!!  As soon as he is feeling better, I'm going to have a sleepover!

Garage Sales

Alexander LOVES to visit garage sales with his big Papa and Umma.  They typically go Fri and Sat mornings and we never know what treasures are coming home.
We may not let him go again...

Look Mom!

Can you ever have enough Geo-Trax?

Alexander would say no way!
One of my sorority sister graciously donated her children's Geo-Trax to Alexander.
It included the airplane trax, a couple of buildings and new tracks and trains.

Needless to say, someone has been playing with trains for days and days.
Thanks, Tina!!

New Blog Look!

What do you think?  I LOVE it!  My uber-talented and super sweet friend, Jen, over at A Daily Dose of Davis set it up for me.  She's done the header of the blog for three years running and this time, I finally get to repay her for the good work!

Life has been seriously busy with Alexander.  Swim lessons.  Learning to ride a bike.  Finishing puzzles.  Playdates and sleepovers with grandparents.  Playing with GeoTrax.

And I haven't seem to have managed to take a single photo.

When summer arrives, you'll see more updates.  Until then, wish us luck as we finish up preschool and say goodbye to friends and teachers we have come to love.
